bio

Born and brewed in Central Florida, my days were filled with family, music, surfing, art & cartooning. As an undergraduate, I became a visual arts major concentrating in graphic design at Rutgers University. Post-graduation, work opportunities in both web and print design (as well as the pursuit of great surfing) took me to Sydney, Australia, and shortly thereafter to San Francisco. Nevertheless, I found myself searching for a way to fill the void of more formal artistic stimulation in my life and, as a result, became a working-student in the MFA program at the Academy of Art in the spring of 2003.

At present I work as a production coordinator and junior graphic designer at IDEO, a design firm based in Palo Alto, California. As for the future, the work ethic, culture and support I have continually received from my family, friends and co-workers has taught me that my career goals will always consist of being happy, doing good in the world, and teaching others about the beauty of art and design. Everything else will just have to be central to great waves.
